The Boiler Seafood Review: Best Cajun-Style Seafood Boil in Singapore?

If you’re craving a seafood feast that’s messy, loud, and absolutely finger-licking good, then The Boiler Seafood Bar & Beer should be at the top of your list. This homegrown Cajun-style seafood spot in Singapore has been drawing crowds for years with awards to show.

The Concept: Seafood with a Bold Cajun Twist

The Boiler brings the Southern Louisiana seafood boil experience right to the heart of Singapore. Think fresh seafood tossed in bold, buttery, spicy sauces and served in bags, no plates, no cutlery, just pure seafood indulgence.

Whether you’re dining with friends, family, or on a date night, the Boiler’s communal, hands-on dining style is all about sharing, digging in, and enjoying food with zero fuss and maximum flavour.

We arrived there at around 6.30pm on a Sunday without reservations. There were a few empty tables and the staff told us that we have to return the table in an hour.

What We Tried

We ordered The Boiler’s Duo Bag that was packed with a mix of prawns, clams, mussels, corn and sausages. We got this in the Garlic Butter sauce, which was cloying halfway into the meal. The prawns were of a good size, fresh and firm. The sausages were plump and juicy and the corn was sweet and crunchy. The mussels and clams however were a let down as they did not have much flavour.

We added on a portion of prawns, which worked out to be around 6 pieces in The Works Sauce (Medium). It wasn’t spicy enough and we thought the sauce did not taste as good as our previous visit.

The Signature Fish & Chips (Haddock) had a light and crispy batter. The fish however was much drier than we expected but the fries were nicely fried to a crisp.

The Vibe

The space is casual, upbeat, and family-friendly, think industrial-style decor and a lively atmosphere. It’s the kind of place you go to get your hands dirty and your cravings satisfied.

Don’t worry, they provide plastic bibs, gloves, and wet wipes as they know what they’re doing.

Final Verdict

The Boiler Seafood is still a good place to visit to get your Cajun seafood fix though we felt that the standards might have dipped over the years.

Just remember to make a reservations for the weekends or for special occasions as it gets crowded fast.
