Along the vibrant stretch of Geylang Road, Happy Crab has been a go-to destination for seafood enthusiasts seeking authentic grilled crabs. Located at 609 Geylang Road, this establishment is renowned for its Sri Lankan roe-filled crabs, grilled to perfection and served with a variety of sauces.
Signature Grilled Crabs
Happy Crab specializes in grilled black pepper crabs, a departure from the typical saucy versions found elsewhere. The crabs are grilled over an electric bbq grill, allowing the natural sweetness of the meat to shine through, complemented by the robust black pepper seasoning. Each crab is meticulously prepared to ensure a succulent and flavourful experience.

Each dish is served with a selection of dipping sauces, including wasabi, sambal belacan (similar to those used for cockles), and Japanese mayo, enhancing the overall dining experience.
We have ordered a few times from Happy Crab and our favourite is the black pepper crab and it goes well with the spicy sambal belacan dip. With grilled crabs, the sweetness of the crab meat is more pronounced and the smokiness adds another dimension to the flavour.
This is not your fancy chili or black pepper crabs in a seaside restaurant setting but simply roe crabs that are grilled to accentuate the sweet and umami natural goodness of crab meat.
