If you’re tired of generic fast-food burgers and crave something straightforward, juicy, good beefy flavour and made with premium ingredients then BurgerLabo in Singapore is a must-try. Located in Henderson Industrial Park, this burger joint elevates the common burger into a gourmet experience.
We have tried many gourmet burgers but we found ourselves returning to BurgerLabo whenever the craving hits.
Founded by the same man behind Naked Finn, BurgerLabo was unanimously voted the best burger out of 12 burgers in a blind taste test conducted by The Straits Times in 2019. This was not an easy feat to accomplish and it is a testament to their dedication to perfect a burger.
Enough said, let’s get down to it. Our favourite is simply a plain ol’ 2280 cheeseburger. No frills, no tomatoes or pickles. It is just buttered white buns with a 100g patty made of 100% Aberdeen Angus beef neck and a slice of melted American cheese.
The burgers at BurgerLabo are consistent every time we visit. A great sear on the patty gave it the crusty exterior while the beefy juices oozed with every bite. The buttered bun was nothing fancy, just soft and absorbed the moisture from the patty and melted cheese. The melted cheese was well chosen to pair with the burger as some cheeses can be too salty or too cloying.
The straight cut fries remained crispy throughout our meal, didn’t turn soggy and weren’t saturated with oil and seriously better than the Big M.
One of the best gourmet burgers in Singapore – simple, good ingredients, precise and deeply satisfying.
