If you’re a fan of macarons, you’ve probably heard of Pierre Hermé, one of the most celebrated names in French pâtisserie. Known for its creative flavour combinations and beautifully crafted desserts, the Parisian brand has brought its famous macarons to Singapore. We tried the two famous French macaron brands in Paris more than a decade ago and both my wife and I unanimously preferred Pierre Hermé macarons. The nearest Pierre Hermé boutique to us would be in Hong Kong and we would make it a point to get them when we visit the city.
The one and only Singapore branch is located at WEAVE in Resorts World Sentosa (RWS), Pierre Hermé Paris opened its first Southeast Asian flagship boutique in August 2025. The two-storey store is also the brand’s largest boutique in the world, making it quite an attraction for dessert lovers.

Currently the boutique/cafe is undergoing renovation works hence they have a pop-up booth at the convention centre.
The macarons themselves come in an impressive assortment of colours and flavours, ranging from familiar chocolate and pistachio to more adventurous combinations featuring fruits, flowers and spices.
The packaging is equally attractive, making these macarons a lovely gift for someone special or simply a little indulgence for yourself.

What Makes Pierre Hermé Macarons Special?
A good French macaron is all about balance.
The delicate almond-based shells should have a slightly crisp exterior, giving way to a soft, chewy centre. Sandwiched between them is a smooth filling that brings the entire dessert together.
What makes Pierre Hermé particularly interesting is its approach to flavours.
Rather than focusing purely on sweetness, the brand is known for experimenting with contrasting ingredients. Fruity acidity, floral notes, chocolate richness and nutty flavours are combined to create something more complex than your typical macaron.
This is where much of the appeal lies. Instead of simply choosing between chocolate or strawberry, you’re introduced to flavour combinations that you might not normally associate with macarons.

Signature Macaron Flavours Worth Trying
If it’s your first visit to Pierre Hermé, there are a few flavours worth considering.
Ispahan – Rose, Lychee and Raspberry
Perhaps Pierre Hermé’s most recognisable creation, Ispahan combines the floral fragrance of rose with the sweetness of lychee and the tartness of raspberry.
For those who enjoy lighter, fruit-forward desserts, Ispahan would be a good place to start.
Mogador – Milk Chocolate and Passion Fruit
Chocolate lovers might want to consider Mogador, which combines milk chocolate with passion fruit.
The richness of the chocolate is contrasted with the tanginess of passion fruit, creating a flavour pairing that sounds unusual but is one of the brand’s signatures.
It’s particularly appealing if you enjoy desserts that are rich without being overly one-dimensional.
Pistachio – Rich, Nutty and Delicate
Pistachio is another flavour worth considering, especially for those who prefer something more nutty than fruity or floral.
A well-made pistachio macaron should offer a distinctive roasted-nut fragrance, complemented by a smooth, creamy filling and the delicate texture of the almond shells.
For anyone who enjoys pistachio desserts, this is definitely one to consider when exploring Pierre Hermé’s macaron selection.

Are Pierre Hermé Macarons Worth the Premium Price?
Let’s be realistic. Pierre Hermé is a luxury pâtisserie brand, and its macarons are priced accordingly. However, macarons from other pâtisserie brands are not cheap either so its really just a small premium to enjoy the best macarons.
You’re not simply paying for a small almond cookie with cream in the middle. Part of the appeal comes from the craftsmanship, carefully developed flavour combinations, premium ingredients and overall presentation. It is difficult to get the flavour combination and the sweetness right.
Whether that translates into good value depends largely on what you’re looking for.
If you just want something sweet to satisfy a craving, there are certainly more affordable macarons available in Singapore.
However, if you enjoy discovering unique dessert flavours or appreciate the artistry behind French pastries, Pierre Hermé offers something more distinctive.
For gifting, the elegant packaging and established reputation are additional reasons why these macarons might justify the higher price.
Final Verdict: Should You Try Pierre Hermé Macarons?
Would I recommend trying it? Yes, at least once, especially if you’re already visiting Resorts World Sentosa.
My suggestion would be to start with a small assortment featuring Ispahan, Mogador and Pistachio, subject to availability. This gives you a good introduction to floral, fruity, chocolate and nutty flavours.
After all, sometimes it’s nice to treat yourself to something a little more special.
